Prepare the Potato Mixture
- Place the boiled potatoes in a mixing bowl. Mash them thoroughly using a potato masher or fork until smooth.
- Add chopped green chili, chopped onion, chopped tomato, grated carrot, chopped coriander leaves, black pepper powder, pav bhaji masala, and salt.
- Mix everything together until evenly combined.
- Place the bread slices on a flat surface.
- Spread the prepared potato mixture generously over one side of each bread slice.
- Using a sharp knife, cut each bread slice diagonally into two triangles.
- Spread sesame seeds on a plate.
- Press the potato-coated side of each bread triangle into the sesame seeds. Gently press so the seeds stick evenly across the surface.
- Heat a non-stick pan over low flame. Grease the pan evenly with butter.
- Place the bread triangles on pan. Roast for about 1 minute until golden and crispy.
- Carefully flip and roast the bread side for another minute. Continue cooking until both sides are beautifully golden.
- Transfer the crispy toast to a serving plate. Serve immediately with green chutney, ketchup, or your favorite dip.
Notes
- Always roast on low flame for even crispiness.
- Use fresh bread for best results.
- Do not skip sesame seeds as they provide crunch and flavor.
- Serve immediately after roasting.
- Adjust spice level according to preference.
- Apply the potato mixture thickly for better texture.
